‘Drought’ released through AMC & Winners of score giveaway

As a week of celebrations for the release of  ‘Drought’ through the Australian Music Centre comes to a close, I would like to thank you everyone who took an interest in the ‘Drought’ score give away. I would also like to thank those who chose to write in and share their comments about the music. It is always humbling, and really means a lot to me when others take the time to connect.  I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this than to give scores away, so here we go!

The reason we’ve been celebrating all week is here! The score is now available for purchase through the Australian Music Centre (AMC) which can be found here: http://www.australianmusiccentre.com.au/workversion/cheney-lisa-drought/29445

You can borrow ‘Drought’ via the AMC library or buy your own copy. It’s also worth mentioning that the Australian Music Centre offers generous discounts to purchasers of 10 or more copies.

Listen to The Australian Voices sing ‘Drought’

It’s a pleasure to be able to share this recording of ‘Drought’ again with you. These are the sublime voices of TAV, conducted by Gordon Hamilton with solos by sopranos Amber Evans and Christina Mairs.  ‘Drought’ was commissioned by TAV in 2012.

Once again, thank you for helping me to celebrate the release of a work that has been a long time coming. If your ensemble is ever thinking about performing ‘Drought’ or you just have feedback on what you’ve heard, then please don’t hesitate to contact me for a chat.
