Happy happy news! ‘Drought’ for choir is finally coming out into the big wide world! It’s taken over two years, but I’m so excited that ‘Drought’ is now cleared to be released publicly! Commissioned by The Australian Voices and with text by Judith Wright, this work holds a special place in my heart for the beautiful people it is dedicated to (more on this later). I can honestly say it’s a composition I’m very proud of. In the coming weeks it should become available for purchase through the Australian Music Centre and to celebrate this amazing milestone (that I’ve been not-so-patiently waiting on), I’m giving away a signed hard copy score every week until it’s been officially released! If you would like a copy of ‘Drought’ for your choir, your school, your library, (you name it!), be the first to get in touch via Facebook, Twitter, www.lisacheney.com.au or lisajcheney@gmail.com! Stay tuned for a beautiful recording of ‘Drought’ made by the amazing TAV, which will hit soundcloud very soon. Now excuse me, I’m off to happy dance!
