Late 2011 I was lucky enough to be invited to write a new work for Ensemble Fabrique‘s Ribbons of Rust project. “Excellent! I know how to write for these guys” I thought to myself. But I was wrong, because this was to be a concert with a twist! After being a composer and sitting in the audience for so long, it was great fun to get up on stage and ‘perform’ with the tape players along side some very talented musicians.
